Despite this widespread adoption, there is little empirical evidence exploring the teaching processes embedded within type of simulation. This exploratory study provides insight into nature these through use qualitative methods. A total 152 clinicians, 101 students 9 facilitators representing range professions, participated video-recorded role-plays debrief sessions. Videotapes were analyzed to explore emerging issues themes related simulated experience. In addition, three focus groups conducted with subset participants perceptions their educational experiences.
