Improved Electrochemical Detection of Purine Nucleobases at Mechanically Roughened Edge‐Plane Pyrolytic Graphite Electrode

摘要: Mechanically grinded edge-plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (g-PGEe) was applied in voltammetric analysis of purine nucleobases, acid-hydrolyzed synthetic oligodeoxynucleotides and a nonhydrolyzed plasmid DNA. Properties the mechanically grinded electrodes these analytical applications were compared with some other carbon electrode types. We show that the surface grinding 15-mu M SiC particles resulted remarkable improvement oxidation signals of purine bases no addition copper ions. Addition the copper ions., causing strong enhancement purine oxidation responses at fine-polished electrodes, had only small effect on purine g-PGEe. On the other hand, g-PGEe appeared less suitable for ex situ AdTS measurements DNA, compared to freshly peeled basal plane graphite electrode.
