摘要: Members of the protein kinase C (PKC) family serine/threonine kinases are thought to play critical roles in regulation cellular differentiation and proliferation many cell types. An additional member PKC was identified through human expressed sequence tag (EST) database search its full length cDNA isolated. Sequence analysis revealed that predicted translation product composed 890 amino acid residues has 77.3% similarity mu (PKCmu) 77. 4% mouse PKD (the homolog PKCmu). We designated new as nu (PKCnu). The PKCnu messenger RNA ubiquitously various tissues when analyzed by Northern blots reverse transcriptase-coupled polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analyses. chromosomal location gene determined between markers WI-9798 D2S177 on chromosome 2p21 region PCR-based methods with both a human/rodent monochromosomal hybrid panel radiation mapping panel.
