摘要: The first description of brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) can be found in the observations Luschka1 and Virchow2 mid 19th century: they were generally categorized as vascular hamartomas. It is believed that majority these lesions are congenital origin, arising between three eight weeks gestation3-5. Morphologically, resemble normal anastomotic plexuses formed during early embryogenesis system. Several recent studies have revealed possible factors involved formation pathogenesis AVMs. In particular, gene results production endothelin-1, potent vasoconstrictor agent cell growth, has been to repressed cerebral AVMs; this may cause abnormal autoregulation AVMs6.
