摘要: Abstract Despite evidence that the branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) influence brain metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis, there is little information on neuroendocrine effects of BCAAs. We now report administration a mixture BCAAs 3 times daily for 12 days to Sprague-Dawley rats decreased concentration β-endorphin immunoreactivity (BEI) in neurointermediate lobe pituitary. In BCAA-treated rats, BEI was 21 ± 4 compared control levels 57 (ng/μg protein). The had no effect level adenohypophysis. These findings suggest changes availability leucine, isoleucine, valine mediate specific responses metabolic perturbations rat.
