Morphology and NLO properties of thin films of organic compounds obtained by epitaxial growth

摘要: Abstract The epitaxial crystallization of 2-methyl-4-nitroaniline, an organic molecule having strong non linear optical properties, was demonstrated. PTFE substrates were prepared according to the friction transfer method. MNA crystals can be grown either from vapor phase or solutions in various experimental conditions. crystallographic contact plane between and substrate investigated by grazing incidence X-ray diffraction. In fact, with their (10-2) crystal planes, polar axes being parallel sliding direction, i.e. polymer chain axis. mismatch overlayer lattices is equal 3%. Second harmonic generation measurements also performed on different layers crystallized PTFE. analysis polarization dependance second has confirmed proposed molecular orientation.
