摘要: Sentinel node biopsy (SNB) has emerged as an accurate means of identifying nodal micrometastasis in cutaneous melanoma. In order to assess our learning curve, we compared first 30 cases with subsequent cases. A total 60 patients underwent SNB for melanoma, using preoperative lymphoscintigraphy together the intraoperative use a Neoprobe and Patent Blue V dye. At least one sentinel was identified 93% (90% cases; 97% cases). nodes contained tumour 21% Of that cases, 87% were by examination 60% blue second tumour-containing all both The appeared be only involved 71% patients. patients, patient negative developed recurrence. These data confirm feasibility sentinel-node technique However, there is should performed limited numbers people suitable training.
