摘要: The Sr2Al2SiO7:Eu2+ and Sr2Al2SiO7:Eu3+ phosphors were prepared by the traditional high temperature solid state reaction method. crystal structures of sintered gehlenite type structure which belongs to tetragonal crystallography with space group $$ {\rm P}\bar{42}_{1}{\rm m} $$ . Thermoluminescence properties these investigated results also compared. Under ultra-violet excitation (345 nm), phosphor would emit bluish-green (cyan) light, belonging broad emission band ascribed 4f 65d 1 → 4f 7 transition. spectrum (λex = 395 nm) consisted two peaks at 593 613 nm, attributed 5D0 → 7F1 5D0 → 7F2 Eu3+ ions. strongest excited 395 nm can be assigned 7F0 → 5L6 transition ions due typical f–f transitions within 6 configuration. Commission International de I’Eclairage color coordinates suitable as orange-red light emitting respectively. mechanoluminescence (ML) intensity increase linearly increasing impact velocity moving piston. Thus present investigation indicates that piezo-electrically induced de-trapping model is responsible produce ML in phosphors.
