摘要: Abstract The Sannio-Matese region is one of the most seismically active regions Italy and has been struck by large historical earthquakes. At present, area characterized low magnitude background seismicity small seismic sequences following M∼4 main events. In this paper, we show Vp Vp/Vs models 3D locations for a complete set earthquakes occurring in period 1991–2001. We observe significant crustal heterogeneity, with scale east-verging high fault-related-folds, stacked Pliocene compression. relocated cluster along 70° east-dipping, NW-striking plane located at border thrust units. Normal fault related to young extension occur within these zones, interpreted as strength material. expect future zones actually their borders.
