摘要: Synchronous oscillations of thousands cellular clocks in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), circadian centre, are coordinated by precisely timed cell–cell communication, principle which is largely unknown. Here we show that amount RGS16 (regulator G protein signalling 16), a known to inactivate Gαi, increases at selective time allow time-dependent activation intracellular cyclic AMP SCN. Gene ablation Rgs16 leads loss production cAMP and as result lengthens period behavioural rhythm. The temporally precise regulation signal clock-controlled needed for dorsomedial SCN maintain normal phase-relationship ventrolateral Thus, RGS16-dependent temporal coordinates intercellular synchrony pacemaker neurons thereby defines 24 h rhythm behaviour. Circadian controlled mechanisms control undiscovered. In this study, regulator, RGS16, shown be involved required
