摘要: Abstract A simulated moving bed (SMB) unit was designed to separate oleanolic and ursolic acids, two naturally occurring triterpenoids with structural isomerism, remarkable nutraceutical pharmacological properties. triacontylsilyl silica gel adsorbent (stationary phase of an Acclaim C30 column) considered impulse tests different solvents were performed select a mobile phase, from which methanol/water 95/5 (%, v/v) emerged as the most suitable. Equilibrium global mass transport coefficients then determined through breakthrough experiments using pure compound solutions column. Afterwards, these parameters applied simulation model binary mixture separations, whose curves also experimentally measured. Finally, SMB optimized. It demonstrated that packing column it is possible both acids purities 99.9 wt.%, productivity 1.705 kg/(m3adsorbent day), configuration columns per section (2–2–2–2). The results obtained in this work stationary represent significant improvement over literature data.
