摘要: Conventional magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of space-occupying lesions may answer most the questions concerning diagnosis and subsequent treatment strategies if patient age, clinical paraclinical findings are considered as well. However, crucial relevant differential diagnoses require additional MR methods, such diffusion-weighted (DWI), perfusion-weighted (PWI) spectroscopy (MRS). In necrotic ring-enhancing DWI detect inflammatory processes, whereas characteristics peritumoral area help to distinguish between metastases glioblastomas. solid tumors DWI, PWI MRS also aid differentiation low-grade gliomas malignant tumors, WHO (World Health Organization) grade III IV lymphomas. This review briefly explains special methods with respect brain illustrates diagnostic pathways necessary for supplying a reliable well optimal pre-operative lesions.
