摘要: Eye infections were initially observed in single-comb white leghorn breeder chicks at 5 days of age, and morbidity increased from 0.05% to 1.5% after debeaking 7 age. All necropsied 15 age had cheesy yellow exudate within the conjunctival sac one eye small (1 mm diameter) nodular lesions lungs on thoracic air-sac membranes. Histopathologic examination eyes revealed septate fungal hyphae inflammatory cells anterior chamber, cornea, sac. Similar present lung granulomas. Aspergillus fumigatus was isolated eyes. only health problem reported for several consecutive flocks this farm. Elimination moldy feed diet environment proper management sawdust litter have prevented ophthalmitis subsequent flocks.
