摘要: Abstract This study aims at examining the hypolipidemic effect of piceatannol on high fat diet (HFD)-induced hypercholesterolemic Sprague-Dawley rats and serum metabolite changes. Piceatannol supplement significantly lowered total cholesterols, low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels atherogenic index as compared to HFD model which only have increased dietary intake. Using untargeted mass spectrometry-based metabolomic platforms, multivariate statistics revealed that perturbed fatty acids, lysophospholipids, bile acids conjugated acids. Reduced CYP7A1 protein expression increase in glycocholate taurodeoxycholate after treatment suggested acid might contribute cholesterol-lowering effect. For lipid profiles, lysoPC (20:2) (20:0) were decreased while ratio esterified arachidonic dihomo-γ linoleic was up-regulated for supplement. These results indicated therapeutic is associated with metabolisms reduced absorption cholesterols.
