摘要: 1 Abstract: Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the principle antioxidant of green tea extract. The effect EGCG was studied against hepatotoxicity induced by N-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA) in rats. male rats were exposed to NDEA (0.1 mg/ ml) dissolved drinking water separately and along with 5, 10 15 mg/ml for 21 days. activity serum aspartate amino transferase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) measured blood serum. Lipid peroxidation, protein carbonyl content micronucleus frequency estimated rat hepatocytes. To study on DNA damage, comet assay performed hepatocytes lymphocytes. results showed a dose-dependent significant decrease lev- els enzymes (AST, ALT, ALP LDH) EGCG. Histological sections liver also revealed protective A reduction lipid observed obtained from as well lymphocytes mean tail length. It suggested that both antigenotoxic hepatoprotective
