摘要: The growth of ports peripheral to the dominant container hubs has been well documented in North America and Europe, led elaboration several theoretical models. This paper applies these models situation South East Asia where much containerisation is taking place. While confirming emergence that are mounting challenges major hubs, we demonstrate factors behind different those postulated literature. Issues governance arising out complex restructuring global industry singled out. We suggest a new geography terminals based on management operational strategies private public bodies involved port needs be fashioned.
