Navigating the Neoliberal Terrain: Elder Faculty Speak Out

摘要: Neoliberal policies and practices continue to impact influence the direction, work learning culture, focus of Canadian universities. Respectful Elder faculty members (professors) being lifelong learners, who have navigated university landscapes for extended periods time, this paper focuses on perspectives neoliberalism. Findings discussed emerged from a qualitative, three-year, SSHRC funded study that invited faculty, selected universities in Canada, share their storied experiences teaching, research, service within during times great change. Key themes include: power shifts displacement; pedagogical imbalances; devaluation professoriate.
