Techetium 99m methylene diphosphonate bone scanning in osteoarthritic hands.

摘要: In this prospective study, the radiological features characteristic of osteoarthritis hand were compared with radionuclide bone scan images. A total 32 patients was assessed at 6-monthly intervals for 18 months. Microfocal radiographs taken each visit. The high magnification and resolution technique permitted direct measurement joint space width, subchondral sclerosis, osteophyte number area juxta-articular radiolucency in hand. Four-hour technetium 99m methylene diphosphonate scans 0 12 months activity tracer uptake scored. latter X-radiographic feature every visit changes between visits analysed. scores did not correlate any other than size. During study size growing remodelling osteophytes increased significantly joints raised or isotope uptake.
