摘要: Four-way DNA intermediates, known as Holliday junctions, are formed during mitotic and meiotic recombination, their efficient resolution is essential for proper chromosome segregation. Bacteria, bacteriophages archaea promote junction by the introduction of symmetrically related nicks across junction, in reactions mediated resolvases. In 2008, after a search that lasted almost 20 years, resolvase was identified humans. The protein, GEN1, using MS following brute-force fractionation extracts prepared from human cells grown tissue culture. GEN1 fits paradigm developed studies prokaryotic resolvases, it specifically recognizes junctions resolves them mechanism similar to exhibited Escherichia coli RuvC protein.
