摘要: Objective: To study 18 cases of sarcoidosis, the hall mark which was uveitis. Setting: Referrals from peripheral eye clinics. Patients: patients with bilateral almost symmetric uveitis, negative Mantoux test and positive gallium scan were enrolled in study. Preliminary bronchoscopy bronchial lavage not done due to social habits. Results: Age ranged between 7–48 years median 15 mean 19 years. Although multinational, yet all them residents Kuwait. A father son affected within 8 months period. 78% strictly ocular, associated pulmonary salivary gland affection 11% each. Sole anterior uveitis found 28%,associated intermediate 55% posterior in16.6% cases. Clinically detectable dry eyes 33% All our developed glaucoma resolved treatment 88% them. Gallium uptake balls 22%, lacrimal glands (panda sign) 67%, or chest Positive biopsy 72%, 22% conjunctival. Chest X-ray SACE 11%.61% had hypergammaglobulinaemia ANA RF. Conclusions: (1) 61% ocular sarcoidosis presented below sarcoid age. (2) Multinationality together father‘s son‘s indicate aclimatic environmental insult an already predisposed person. (3) Routine may be adequate for diagnosis sarcoidosis. should suspected (4)Follow-up prospects is emphasized.
