摘要: Women with persistent HPV infections have increased risk of progressive CIN lesions. Transmission between sexual partners might maintain viral infection and, consequently, may influence the clinical course CIN. We investigated effect condom use on regression lesions and clearance HPV. their male were randomized for (condom group n = 72 noncondom 76). They conservatively managed followed every 3-6 months by colposcopy, cytology testing GP5+/6+ PCR. Baseline cervical biopsy specimens taken. Median follow-up time women was 15.2 (range 3.0-85.4). Outcomes interest at colposcopy assessed in 64 61 group. showed a 2-year cumulative rate 53% vs. 35% (p 0.03). The rates 23% 4%, respectively 0.02). Although lower found if HPV-positive had > or =CIN2 baseline, effects both CIN1 Condom promotes
