摘要: Background/Aims: The saphenous vein is commonly used for coronary artery bypass surgery but its patency poor. Vascular damage occurs during conventional surgery. However, improves when the graft harvested with minimal surgical trauma, partly due to preservation of vascular endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and tissue sources (NO), a factor possessing both dilatory anti-proliferative properties. Apart from these grafts exhibiting an intact luminal endothelium they are complete surrounding cushion tissue, much which fat. Methods: Immunostaining eNOS was performed on sections reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction Western blotting were identify mRNA protein. NO activity measured using citrulline assay. Results: Immunohistochemistry identified staining segments, including dense perivascular fat associated structures vein. protein confirmed in by blot analysis. Using assay, underlying possessed comparable activity. Conclusions: Our observations suggest that fat-derived plays beneficial role veins atraumatically as patients undergoing
