摘要: In order to determine the implications of including planted populations in conservation planning, we investigate structure and genetic diversity, mating system, effective population size within families three one natural Araucaria angustifolia populations. The study area is a Brazilian National Forest southern Brazil, established 1950s. Genetic analysis was investigated using nine allozyme loci. Significant positive fixation index detected for adults all studied Although observed lower levels diversity biparental inbreeding some populations, their pattern mating, similar that expected panmixia, indicates can be used planning. Furthermore, presence unique alleles significant differentiation among adult (FST = 0.404) reinforces are important resources. average paternity correlation high almost showing open-pollinated composed mixtures half- full-sibs. With regards strategies, our results suggest seed collection from at least 133 trees necessary retain reference 500. Our confirm forests Brazil useful as resource conservation, breeding reforestation strategies this threatened species.
