摘要: Background The endometrium is commonly infected with bacteria leading to severe disease of the uterus in cattle and humans. The endometrial epithelium first line defence for this mucosal surface against Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are a critical component innate immune system detection pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). Antimicrobial peptides, acute phase proteins Mucin-1 (MUC-1) also provide non-specific defences microbes on surfaces. present study examined expression bovine tested hypothesis that epithelial cells express functional TLR family effector molecules bacteria.
