摘要: Abstract This study focused on the process development for d -lactic acid production from cellulosic feedstocks using Lactobacillus plantarum mutant, genetically modified to produce optically pure both glucose and xylose. The simultaneous saccharification fermentation (SSF) delignified hardwood pulp (5–15% loads) resulted in lactic titers of 55.2–84.6 g/L after 72 h increased productivities 1.77–2.61 g/L/h. To facilitate enzymatic high-load at a temperature, short-term (⩽10 min) pulverization was conducted, leading significantly improved with suppressed formation formic by-product. milling followed by SSF titer 102.3 g/L, an optical purity 99.2%, yield 0.879 g/g-sugars without fed-batch control. Therefore, presented here shows promise high-titer L. mutant.
