摘要: In this paper we introduce a new method for the fast evaluation of elementary functions in single precision based on truncated Taylor series using difference method. We assume availability large and (at least read purposes) memory. call ATA (Add-Table lookup-Add) As name implies, hardware required are adders (both two/ multi/operand adders) tables. For IEEE numbers our initial estimates indicate that can calculate basic functions, namely reciprocal, square root, logarithm, exponential, trigonometric inverse within latency two to four floating point multiplies. >
