摘要: Benign tremulous parkinsonism, a tremor dominant syndrome with relatively slow rate of deterioration, is recognized by clinicians although its pathological basis not well understood. A systematic review Queen Square Brain Bank donors was carried out to determine the natural history and pathology individuals who had parkinsonism mild non-tremor components minimal gait disability for at least 8 years. We identified 16 cases pathologically proved benign Parkinson's disease (PD); another 5 conformed definition but did have PD. Patients verified PD less severe neuronal loss in substantia nigra than controls (χ2: P = .003). Twelve these been correctly diagnosed their first neurological evaluation, whereas other 4 were originally thought disorder. The only consistent distinguishing feature disproved cases, may either essential associated rest or dystonic tremor, failure develop unequivocal bradykinesia within decade onset rest. Our findings support existence distinct subgroup slower clinical progression correlates nigral cell postmortem, many patients transgress final third course common features advanced © 2012 Movement Disorders Society.
