摘要: During the ragweed season of 1984 we studied 120 patients with hay fever; 58 had a history asthma during year before. They were divided into four treatment groups to receive nasal sprays placebo, cromolyn sodium, flunisolide, or beclomethasone. In controlling fever symptoms all medications superior placebo; glucocorticoids more effective than was sodium. Chest in also relieved by topical treatment. Various explanations for beneficial effect are conceivable. We consider most likely be improvement airway function. With restoration filtering action nose, less allergen would penetrate intrathoracic airways because reduction mouth breathing.
