摘要: Although inflammatory and immunological reactions protect the host from invasion by microorganisms eliminate debris at sites of tissue injury, they can also be responsible for significant damage. Thus, regulatory mechanisms that limit damage an overly exuberant immune response have evolved. It is increasingly apparent adenosine, a purine nucleoside elaborated injured inflamed sites, has central role in regulation responses limiting destruction. Adenosine, called ‘retaliatory metabolite’ because it autocoid generated as result cellular injury or stress, interacts with specific G protein-coupled receptors on cells to regulate their function. The effects acting its receptors, functions mediate innate responses, will reviewed.
