摘要: Objective and design: This study aimed to determine if mucosal expression of the chemokines IL-8, RANTES MCP-1 pro-inflammatory cytokines TNFα IL-6 are elevated in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.¶Materials subjects: Intestinal mucosa samples were obtained at time surgical resection, n=16 from each following groups: normal/control, CD UC.¶Methods: An homogenate was prepared tissue sample measured by ELISA.¶Results: IL-8 significantly increased both disease groups compared controls Similarly, levels also increased. groups, this increase statistically significant UC group only. only.¶Conclusions: Chemokines, together key that promote their release tissues IBD. It is likely these play an important role perpetuation destructive processes.
