摘要: Localization of newly synthesized poly(3hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) granules was determined by confocal laser scanning fluorescence microscopy Nile red-stained cells and transmission electron (TEM). PHB living Caryophanon latum at the early stages accumulation were frequently found or close to cytoplasmic membrane. TEM analysis same culture revealed electron-translucent globular structures resembling that nonrandomly distributed in cell lumen but Immunogold labeling using PHB-specific antiserum confirmed represented granules. Electron examination after lysis often associated with membrane vesicles. Nonrandom localization also Beijerinckia indica. Cells this species harbored one granule each pole. Our results show are even physical contact Possible explanations for unexpected finding a hypothetical model formation C. discussed.
