摘要: Abstract Polycarboxyl type antiscalants in general have a tendency to become less effective the presence of multi-valent metal ions such as Ca++ and Mg++ sea water. However, Kao's new antiscalant “AQUAKREEN KC-550” improved by copolymerization technology, has much higher stability against multi-valance ions. AQUAKREEN KC-550 was tested Dubai Electricity Company unit No.3 desalination plant at Jebel Ali “D” station under dosing rate 2 ppm brine top temperature 105°C for period 5 months, with caution steps taken set optimum beforehand. Through this performance test, it proved that could successfully keep very stable all operation parameters Heat Transfer Coefficients both heater heat recovery section Gained Output Ratio.
