摘要: Because irregular bearing generates major agronomic issues in fruit-tree species, particularly apple, the selection of regular cultivars is desirable. Here, we aimed to define methods and descriptors allowing a diagnostic for behaviour during first years tree maturity, when production increasing. Flowering occurrences were collected at whole-tree (annual) shoot scales on segregating apple population. At both scales, number inflorescences over was modelled. Two derived from model residuals: new biennial index, based deviation around yield trend an autoregressive coefficient, which represents dependency between consecutive yields. scale, entropy also considered represent within-tree flowering synchronicity. Clusters genotypes with similar behaviours built. Both consistent most used discriminate genotypes. Quantitative trait loci detected index scales. Combining local scale showed that may result different strategies synchronization scale. The proposed indices open avenue quantify maturity capture genetic variations. Their extension other progenies possible variants descriptors, their use breeding programmes considering limited or fruit yields are discussed.
