摘要: Although personality tests are widely used to select applicants for a variety of jobs, there is concern that such measures fakable. One procedure minimize faking has been disguise the true intent by randomizing items measuring similar constructs dispersed throughout test. In this study, we examined if item placement does influence fakability and psychometric properties measure. Study participants responded 1 2 formats (random vs. grouped items) test honestly also under instructions fake or behave like an applicant. Results indicate format was more fakable Neuroticism Conscientiousness scales. The with randomly placed fit data better within honest applicant conditions. These findings demonstrate issue should be seriously considered before administering because different presentations may affect incidence
