摘要: Short-chain fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are prebiotics, which escape digestion in the small intestine and fermented by colonic microflora into short-chain fatty acids. Recently, we found that daily consumption of 20 g FOS decreased basal hepatic glucose production healthy subjects without any effect on insulin-stimulated metabolism. In this study, evaluated effects chronic ingestion plasma lipid concentrations, insulin resistance type 2 diabetics. Type diabetic volunteers (n = 10; 6 men, 4 women) received either g/d or sucrose for wk a double-blind crossover design. did not modify fasting concentrations production. The response to fixed exogenous bolus differ at end two periods. Erythrocyte binding also differ. Serum triacylglycerol, total HDL cholesterol, free acid, apolipoproteins A1 B lipoprotein (a) were modified FOS. We conclude had no metabolism
