摘要: There is evidence from paleontological data that the number of days per year has not been constant at least for last 600 m.y. As commonly understood, this fact arises mainly tidal coupling Moon and Earth. The dominating process friction between solid Earth via oceans. Other effects as within Earth’s fluid core mantle or atmosphere other external forces (e.g., solar wind) seem to be less importance (Sasao et al. 1977, Kaula 1964, Zschau 1978, 1979, Lambeck 1980, Hirshberg 1972). considerably good agreement among different types observations (pre-telescopic telescopic), satellite Lunar Laser Ranging Stephenson Morrison Cazenave Daillet 1981, Calame Mulholland 1978). They all yield similar results, rate dissipation rotational energy being about 4 × 1019 erg s-1. Results obtained ocean-tide models explain a large amount (at 75%) observed result (Peceris Accad 1969, Hendershott 1972, Kusnetzov Pariiskiy Zahel Sundermann Brosche
