摘要: Abstract Purpose To report the disease-free Grade ≥3 complication-free survival of a Phase II protocol reirradiation with high-dose-rate (HDR) interstitial brachytherapy (ITB) in previously irradiated gynecologic cancer. Methods and Materials Fifteen patients cervical (n = 6), endometrial vulvovaginal tumors 3) were treated HDR-ITB alone to median dose 38 Gy 8 b.i.d. fractions over 4 consecutive days. Prior treatments included surgery 12; 80%), external irradiation 15; 100%), 9; 60%). Average clinical target volume Size was 60.9 cc (range, 14.8–165.3 cc), time 3.9 years 0.4–22.7 years). Results With followup 2.8 years 1.2–9.2 years), 3 (20.0%) developed toxicity consisting intestinal obstruction 1), rectovesical fistula 5 1). Six remain alive without evidence disease at last followup. Two are progression, 7 have died, them from progression other causes. The 2-year 40%. Conclusions is reasonable salvage treatment option significant number tumors.
