摘要: The present study was undertaken to evaluate the protective effects of genistein against cardiac inflammation and oxidative stress in streptozotocin (STZ) (45 mg/kg body weight)-induced diabetic rats. (300 mg/kg/day) administered orally for 24 weeks STZ-induced on blood glucose, % glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor (TNF- α), transforming growth (TGF-β1), total antioxidant were studied. Ultrastructural histopathological assessment injury also using transmission electron microscope. diabetes resulted significant increase levels HbA1c, TNF- α TGF-β1, a decline reserve myocardium. Administration rats decrease glucose (p < 0.001), HbA1c 0.0001), protein expression 0.001) TGF-β1 0.0001) proteins. In addition, treatment results augmentation 0.01) hearts. above findings supported by histological as well immunohistochemical localization NF-κB (p65) heart. Genistein ameliorated ultrastructural degenerative changes tissues compared control. result demonstrates that restored integrity myocardium virtue its anti-inflammatory effects.
