摘要: Feedback within the oculomotor system improves visual processing at eye movement end points, also termed a grasp. We do not just view world around us however, we reach out and grab things with our hands. A growing body of literature suggests that in near-hand space is altered. The control systems for moving either eyes or hands rely on parallel networks fronto-parietal regions, which have feedback connections to areas. Since effects occur through feedback, both motor plan efference copy, where reaching and/or grasping motor-related activity affects likely. Areas posterior parietal cortex, example, receive proprioceptive information used guide actions, as well signals. This trio channels all would be necessary produce spatial allocation reach-related attention. review evidence from behavioral neurophysiological studies support hypothesis while noting ways it differs seen system. suggest object affordances may represent neural mechanism certain features are selected preferential when stimuli near hand. Finally, summarize two effector-based discuss how having separate but effector allows efficient decoupling hand movements.
