摘要: The infective trypomastigote stage ofTrypanosoma cruzi expresses a set of surface glycoproteins that are known collectively as Tc85 and belong to the gp85/trans-sialidase supergene family. A member this family, Tc85–11, with adhesive properties laminin cell surfaces was recently cloned. In report, Tc85–11 domain for binding its corresponding receptor on epithelial LLC-MK2are described. Using synthetic peptides carboxyl-terminal segment, we show mammalian cell-binding colocalizes most conserved motif trypanosome family (VTVXNVFLYNR). Even though binds laminin, 19-residue peptide (peptide J) does not contain laminin-binding site, because it bind or inhibit glycoprotein. host characterized cytokeratin 18. Addition anti-cytokeratin antibodies culture medium significantly inhibited infection cells byT. cruzi. is multiadhesive glycoprotein, encoding at least two different sites, one 18, allow parasite overcome barriers imposed by membranes, extracellular matrices, basal laminae reach definitive cell. This first description direct interaction between protozoan parasite.
