摘要: Abstract We are developing a magnetically filtered multicusp source as one of the best candidates volume production type negative ion sources for fusion applications. Three types magnetic filters, i.e., rod filter, external and electromagnetic were studied from viewpoint extracting high current H− beam wide extraction area. A density 22 mA/cm2 was extracted with filter. It seems that is enhanced by applying field on surface. Corresponding to formation uniform filter field, deviation densities over 12 cm × 26 area suppressed below 15% in 7% total 1.6 obtained whole
