摘要: The term ventriloquism refers to various manifestations of crossmodal spatial interaction between auditory and visual inputs which are observed in sensory conflict situations. These involve on-line like perceptual fusion spite discrepancy immediate bias, by localization data one modality attracted toward conflicting the other modality, also off-line aftereffects. Existing concerning variables on occurrence phenomena depend reviewed, with insistence distinction cognitive factors. A question has been neglected literature consists separating genuine contributions from voluntary post-perceptual adjustments. Using a new paradigm based psychophysical staircases, we have shown that bias location occurs even when subject is not aware auditory-visual discrepancy, hence cannot reduce corrections. Other experiments demonstrated be explained deliberate shifts attention. It concluded reflects phenomenon automatic pairing, is, formation cross-modal unit takes place at pre-conscious processing stage thus must clearly distinguished conscious fusion.
