摘要: The aim of this study is to identify elasmobranch species present in the SouthernTyrrhenian Sea, describe their distribution and abundance, significant spatial or temporal differences between species. 14 bottom trawl surveys were carried out from 1994 2007. 16 elasmobranchs recorded. Multidimentional Scaling Ordination (MDS) showed two groups according depth gradient: first one stations upper slope second middle slope. Mean biomass indices frequency occurrence that Galeus melastomus, Etmopterus spinax Scyliorhinus canicula most abundant for other very low. mean abundance G. melastomus exhibited a positive trend density. E. negative For varied greatly years, even if there was no evident trend.
