摘要: Left ventricular (LV) remodeling after myocardial infarction (MI) indicates a high risk of heart failure and death. However, LV is difficult to predict, limited information available on the association cardiac biomarkers with remodeling. Our aim was study B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), troponin I (cTnI), C-reactive protein MI. We designed prospective multicenter including 246 patients first anterior Q-wave Serial echocardiographic studies were performed at hospital discharge 3 months 1 year MI; quantitative analysis core laboratory. Blood samples for determination BNP, cTnI, levels obtained 1-month, 3-month, 1-year follow up visits. One-year follow-up in 226 patients. End-diastolic volume increased from 52.3 ± 13.8 ml/m 2 baseline 62.3 18.4 (p 20% increase end-diastolic volume) observed 87 (38%). At baseline, we found significant univariate relations between biomarkers. During follow-up, BNP persistently detectable cTnI associated In multivariate analysis, none independently predictive contrast, during positive conclusion, circulating may reflect pathophysiologic processes implicated Determination can help refine stratification.
