摘要: Patients with advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs) are often treated concomitant chemotherapy radiotherapy, but only 50% is cured. A possible explanation for treatment failure therapy resistance of the cancer stem cells (CSCs). The application compounds specifically targeting these CSCs, in addition to routinely used therapeutics, would likely improve clinical outcome. We demonstrate that previously described monoclonal antibody K984 recognizes CD98 surface protein, which expressed by forming basal layer, region where reside. Moreover, highly resistant proteolytic enzymes required CSC enrichment procedures. show CD98high cells, contrast CD98low able generate tumors immunodeficient mice, indicating have characteristics.
