摘要: The role of oxygen in tumor cell proliferation, radiosensitivity, cytotoxicity anticancer drugs and hyperthermia treatment has been the subject a series investigations (for reviews see Hall, 1988; Teicher et al., 1990, Vaupel 1989a; Vaupel, 1990a,b). Despite apparent importance oxygenation, data on pO2 values solid tumors are mostly derived from experiments rodents which might not necessarily reflect variability clinical situation. Due to feasible techniques available now, considerable advances have made past few years assessment hypoxia patients 1990a). latter information may be most beneficial for designing specifically tailored protocols (i.e., it can used as prognostic indicator whether or an individual patient would expected good candidate certain treatment), assessing early response treatment, and/or examining potentially useful tools prediction long-term (Vaupel 1989a). In addition, obtained systematic studies allow first time direct comparison between isotransplanted animal tumors, xenografted human cancers, primary patients. present study, readings mammary mice, breast cancers immunodeficient rnu/rnu-rats, malignancies compared.
