摘要: A monoclonal antibody called MRC OX-44 is described that labels all myeloid cells and peripheral lymphoid but only 12% of thymocytes. The OX-44+ thymic include most if not found in the medulla a small fraction cortical cells. Together with CD4 CD8 antigens, seven subsets cell were defined it was notable CD4- CD8- whereas almost CD4+ CD8+ OX-44-. In functional tests, accounted for proliferation by thymocytes when stimulated allogeneic spleen or concanavalin plus growth factors OX-44- completely negative these assays. Also, tests thymopoiesis after intra-thymic injection cells, activity OX-44+. It seems possible set may functionally relevant rat thymus.
