摘要: Most plant cells are characterized by the presence of a large central vacuole that in differentiated accounts for more than 90% total volume. We have undertaken genetic screen to look mutants affected formation vacuoles plants. In this study, we report inactivation Arabidopsis gene VACUOLELESS1 (VCL1) blocks and alters pattern cell division orientation elongation embryo. Consistent with role biogenesis, show VCL1 encodes ortholog yeast Vps16p. contrast lack vacuolar compartment but viable morphologically normal, loss leads aberrant morphogenesis embryonic lethality.
