摘要: The consequences of graft failure after liver transplantation (LT) range far beyond the liver. kidneys are often affected, where persistent and progressive cholestasis can result in acute kidney injury (AKI) leading to development bile cast nephropathy (BCN). BCN is an unrecognized condition that characterized by proximal tubulopathy formation casts distal tubules, which almost diagnosed exclusively on a biopsy or autopsy. This potentially reversible, provided bilirubin levels be reduced early. LT may represent treatment option case irreversible (or graft) failure, beneficial for both kidney. paper reports patient with idiopathic failure LT. Despite his chronic disease, re-transplantation led successful improvement AKI.
