摘要: Abstract Fundus imaging and photography are cornerstones of modern ophthalmic practice. The recent developments in electro-optic computer technology resulted many improvements the acquisition analysis fundus images, which already being used commercial systems. This paper reviews basic aspects methods for imaging, with emphasis on differences between these new techniques conventional, film-based, photography. Potential benefits systems image acquisition, archival, communication, processing, quantitative analysis, as well their current advantages shortcomings discussed.
